Fabric Descriptions

FLEECE - 100% Dacron polyester with a brushed nap that insulates and is absolutely silent to wear. It is highly water resistant, dries fast, very breath-able, will not fade, warm when wet, lightweight, and lasts for years. The comfort range runs around 65 to below freezing when layered.

SADDLE CLOTH - A DuPont blend of materials makes it a quiet, storm proof, wind proof, and burr proof, the fabric is also breathable and won't fade.

BUCKSUEDE - just like Saddle Cloth stops wind, rain, and stickers too and is available in ASATS.

COTTONS - These materials have their own special place on hunts and perform and cost as you have experienced. Some items are 100% cotton and cotton polyester.

STEALTH FLEECE - A fleece type material with a short nap on the outside and a smooth finish inside. This is a thin lightweight nylon fabric. For warmer weather or as an outside shell. Absolutely quiet, very durable. ONLY in Mossy Oak Break-Up.

WOODHIDE LIGHT - Another of our thin lightweight fleece fabrics. Very breathable, extremely durable, silent, a bark and rock pattern. Casts an overall neutral grey look that blends in many situations. A pattern we have offered since our start in 1987.

ASAT LIGHT FLEECE - look for ASATL in the catalog, this is very similar to our Woodhide Light only in the ASAT pattern. The perfect fleece pattern for warm weather.

WOOL - DAY ONE has a limited supply of smooth heavy woven, Loden Green, wool. Most of our products can be made from this fabric while it lasts. Very warm and durable. Our Western Shirts in wool are great to travel in or wear in camp.

WIND STOP - ComforMax® IB Wind Barrier stops the wind from coming through without adding a lot of bulk to the garment and is breath-able. The inside surface is finished with a soft quilted lining. Wind stop is in parkas, hoods, bibs, NEW pants, pull over shirts and mittens only. It increases the water resistance of any product we put it in. Quiet enough that we have never had a deer complain!

INSULATION - The insulation is 100 grains of Thermoloft® combined with the ComforMax® IB Wind Barrier together. Quiet and cozy for cold days in a tree stand. This insulated version also has the quilted liner on the inside surface. The wind barrier or insulated wind barrier can be made with fleece, Saddle Cloth, or Cottons.
